Who released it is up for debate, a labels loss was a fans gain when Kendrick Lamar’s sophomore set To Pimp A Butterfly hit iTunes a week early.

Despite the early leak, the reviews for his project have been stellar. With that, you can assume that word-of-mouth will spread to actual sales.

One positive sign of that is Spotify. The music streaming platform reports that Lamar broke the single day streaming record when his album became available Sunday night.
